Road Trip Log Update: Beautiful day to ride through the wine country. We had hawks that joined us through out the day catching the drafts, soaring and gliding along our path. We quit counting after seeing 50. They were amazing. The hawks disappeared as palm trees and population started appearing. As we approached San Francisco an eerie mist began rolling in. As the mist turned to fog we felt like we were riding through the clouds. The traffic began to slow down and we found ourselves with front row seating for a great show of the Golden Gate Bridge dancing around with the fog. The top of the bridge would be in full view and then just disappear. We took the opportunity to take a break and capture some photos. Riding through SF was fun with allot to see. Traffic was relatively friendly and the roads through the city were easy to navigate. We decided to shut down for the day in Salinas so we could get an early morning start to make the trek through Los Angeles on our way to San Diego for the fourth of July.
